It is the second largest island of the Inner Seychelles, lying 44 km northeast of Mahé and is home to several stunning beaches, lush tropical forests and the unique Coco de Mer. The roads are quieter than on Mahé and the pace of life is slower.

Beaches

Anse Lazio
Often turns up in lists of the world’s most beautiful beaches. The long beach has lapis lazuli waters with great waves, a thick fringe of palm and Takamaka trees, and granite boulders at each extremity.

 

Anse Georgette
One of the most stunning beaches in Seychelles! Set within the grounds of Lémuria Resort, the beach is open to the public, but visitors must request a special permission from the hotel. 

Anse St. Sauveur
It’s only 200 meters away from La Pointe Beach Huts! The beach offers calm and shallow waters being perfect for children and also for swimming and snorkelling.

Boat Trips

Curieuse & St. Pierre Islands
On Curieuse you can see the giant tortoises and St. Pierre is a tiny island with great snorkelling grounds.

 

Sister & Coco Islands
This tour is one of the best you can do among the inner islands of Seychelles. Both islands offer fantastic snorkelling crystal clear waters and beautiful landscapes.

 

Big Game Fishing
Praslin is surrounded by very good fishing spots for bottom and big game fishing.

Vallee De Mai National Park
 In the heart of Praslin, the reserve has the vestiges of a natural palm forest preserved in almost its original state. The famous Coco de Mer, from a palm-tree once believed to grow in the depths of the sea, is the largest seed in the plant kingdom.

 

Diving & Snorkelling
There a few international diving centres on Praslin so one can enjoy some of the best diving sites along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Discover an unspoiled aquatic heaven filled with coral gardens, turtles, white tip and nurse sharks and grey reef shark.

Anse Lazio to Anse Georgette, Fond Ferdinand Nature Trail, Le Glacis Noir Trail, Salazie & Pasquière Track….

Located only a few metres from La Pointe Beach Huts, you can find the Creole restaurant right on the sea with one of the most picturesque views of Praslin.
